It went through an extensive renovation in 2024. This region offers glorious walking opportunities as well as many cycling trails through the hills and forests. Yet despite this countryside feeling, it’s just 2 km to La Spezia town, the gateway to the Cinque Terre National Park, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whether visiting by car, boat, train or following one of the many trails by foot, this area offers undulating scenery of olive groves, pine forests, vineyards, rocky shores and of course the five famous historic villages with the most spectacular views. The Golfo dei Poeti is also waiting to be explored, a region which has inspired many artists and writers over the years including Byron and Shelley.
